Colossians 3 Verse 1

Put On the New Self

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

There is a parallel in this verse, the believes who have died, are will Christ in heaven, and will be with Him when He returns. They have put off the “the old self” and have put on “the new self”. The seated at the right hand of God is a reference to Jesus’s authority over the world. As Paul writes earlier in Colossians, the Christian must live a life in an abiding confidence in and submission to the lordship of Christ. He has been given authority over all things, and we recognize that and should live out our lives with that are foreknowledge.
