2 Thessalonians 2 Verse 15

15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by our letter. [1]

As we look at this passage, we must be very careful with how we interpret what Paul is trying to get across. He is not looking at the traditions that the Jews held on to or looking to create new ones. Paul is stressing in simplicity holding to the Lord’s Supper along with baptism and holding to the doctrine of Christ. We must not stray from the gospel of Jesus Christ, we must continue to hold to the traditions that Paul gave us, and preach Christ crucified. The lost and the sheep do not have time to entertain wolves that have crept back into the church’s limelight.
