Joel 2 Verse 12

12    “Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; [1]

Little is actually known about the prophet Joel, other than his concern for Judah and Jerusalem suggesting that he ministered in Judah. Joel prophesied a locust plague against Israel, foreshadowed the “day of the Lord.” Joel however says that God would punish not only all nations but unfaithful Israel as well. This plea makes sense when context is applied, that Joel is pleading with the unfaithful to turn back to God and repent of their sins. Return to Jesus with sorrow, morning and fasting, seeking Him with all your heart. Do not waste time with the world that proves to be a distraction, time is quickly ticking.
